My name is Debra Maria D'Annunzio I am fourth generation Italian and the author of Liverpool's Italian families.
The D'Annunzio family came to Liverpool from Atina Italy in 1878 and settled in Gerard Street in the heart of Liverpool's Italian Quarter.
As a child I listened to my Grandmother's stories about the streets around Scottie Road, the tales of hardships, celebrations and its people.
I feared not only my Grandmothers stories but other families stories would be lost with time and so decided to write a book capturing their lives in Liverpool's Little Italy. I called it Liverpool's Italian Families and it is to them I dedicate this site.
Thanks
